Rent a Trade SMS program
Text messages are optional. A phone number, application, account, or agreement does not by itself enroll anyone in SMS. We send only after the person separately checks an unchecked consent box. A previous subscriber who opted out may later text START from the same number to restore that permission.
How someone opts in
- 1. They enter their own mobile number. The number is collected on the public contractor application, a private invitation response, or homeowner account settings.
- 2. They make a separate choice. The SMS checkbox is optional, unchecked by default, and independent from required terms or application fields.
- 3. We record evidence. Rent a Trade stores the consent version, disclosure, time, source, and available request metadata.

This example is intentionally unchecked. The live forms use the same disclosure and link to the program terms and privacy policy at the point of consent.
