Customer Agreement

You understand that Rent a Trade is a connection platform only. We do not perform services, manage projects, or guarantee any outcome. The Contractor you hire is the party providing the service.

You acknowledge:

• Contractors are independent businesses, not employees of Rent a Trade.
• Rent a Trade does not control how, when, or whether work is performed.
• Profile information, including specialties, ratings, and verification badges, is informational only.

You agree to:

• Independently verify the Contractor’s licenses, insurance, and qualifications before hiring.
• Confirm the Contractor’s identity and credentials directly.
• Review references, portfolios, and reviews critically.
• Enter into a clear written agreement with the Contractor covering scope, price, timeline, and warranties.

You agree that Rent a Trade is not liable for:

• Poor workmanship or incomplete work.
• Property damage caused by the Contractor or their crew.
• Injuries to you, your family, or third parties.
• Delays, cancellations, or failure to perform.
• Disputes over scope, pricing, or warranty.

You hire Contractors at your own risk. Rent a Trade does not warrant or guarantee the safety, quality, or legality of the services provided by any Contractor.

If payments are processed through Rent a Trade:

• Rent a Trade acts only as a payment facilitator.
• Payment processing does not make Rent a Trade responsible for the work performed or the outcome.
• Refund requests, chargebacks, and payment disputes must be resolved between you and the Contractor.

All disputes regarding work, pricing, quality, or warranty are strictly between you and the Contractor. Rent a Trade is not a party to those disputes and is not responsible for resolving them.

You may leave honest reviews tied to real interactions with a Contractor. Reviews must comply with the Terms of Use. Defamatory, paid, or fraudulent reviews are prohibited and may be removed.

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Rent a Trade, its officers, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses related to your use of the Platform, your interactions with Contractors, or any work performed by Contractors you hire.

By creating a homeowner account, submitting an inquiry, or otherwise using the Platform, you acknowledge you have read, understood, and agreed to this Agreement and the Terms of Use. We may update this Agreement; substantive changes will require renewed acceptance.
